Engagement Delivery Senior Manager - Life Sciences

About the role

Salesforce is hiring a Life Sciences Engagement Delivery Senior Manager in its Professional Services team. This is a senior, delivery-focused individual contributor with no direct reports, leading cross-functional project teams on complex, multi-workstream implementations for pharma, biotech and medtech customers. The role sits in Zurich or Lausanne and reports to the Services Delivery Leader.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of engagements, covering scope, plan, budget, risk and quality from kickoff to go-live and handover
• Lead the Salesforce project team, run steering committees and manage the customer relationship up to director and VP level
• Partner with Program Executives and Professional Services leadership on strategic accounts
• Use AI tooling and agentic workflows to reduce manual effort and speed up insight
• Set the delivery approach, governance and plan, and define objectives, outcomes and KPIs
• Act as the delivery contact, communicating on expectations, performance, governance and escalations internally and with the customer
• Lead, coach and uplift architects, consultants and project managers without positional authority
• Oversee delivery from scoping to go-live, own engagement financials (forecast, utilisation, change control, margin) and drive adoption of AI and agentic capabilities
• Identify and escalate risk early, including regulated-industry risks such as GxP, data privacy and promotional compliance
• Build relationships with Sales, Success, Technology, Product and Support, and work with Resource Management on staffing and scoping

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional services or consulting delivery experience, accountable for scope, financials, risk and customer outcomes
• 3+ years leading large, complex, multi-workstream programs or portfolios ($3M+ scope)
• 3+ years of direct Life Sciences experience (pharma, biotech, medtech or related) able to engage with commercial, medical, regulatory and IT stakeholders
• Experience leading cross-functional teams across geographies, including third-party system integrators, without positional authority
• Bachelor's degree required; travel of about 25% depending on customer need

Required skills

• Demonstrated use of AI productivity tools, automation or agentic workflows with measurable impact
• Experience managing engagement financials: forecasting, revenue control, utilisation and delivered-versus-bid margin
• Working knowledge of system implementation and operational readiness in regulated environments (e.g. GxP/CSV, data privacy, promotional compliance)
• Proven ability to run steering committees and handle difficult data-driven conversations
• Strong executive presence and communication with technical, commercial and regulatory audiences
• Ability to act as a billable IC where the engagement requires it

Preferred qualifications include hands-on Agentforce or equivalent AI platform delivery, knowledge of Life Sciences commercial operations, experience with Salesforce Life Sciences Cloud, Veeva CRM, IQVIA OCE or similar, PMP/PgMP/SAFe certification, Salesforce certifications, experience in outcomes-based or fixed-fee delivery, negotiation of change orders and scope disputes, and fluency in English plus another language such as German, Italian or French.
