English Teacher – Francophone Section (Middle School)

About the role

The Collège du Léman is seeking a dynamic English Teacher for its francophone middle‑school section. You will teach English across several grades, inspire students of diverse abilities, and collaborate closely with a dedicated team of colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Promote the school’s mission by helping students discover strengths, build global connections, and achieve personal excellence.
• Create a caring, inclusive learning environment that prioritises student health and well‑being.
• Uphold the RISE values of Respect, Internationalism, Spirit, and Excellence.
• Use existing resources to deliver English instruction in the francophone section and coordinate lesson planning with grade‑level teams.
• Assess student work, record grades in the online gradebook, and write reports according to school timelines.
• Supervise examinations as required and perform any additional duties assigned.

Required profile

• Native‑level English proficiency with a strong academic background in literature.
• Recognised teaching qualification and good command of French.
• Experience teaching in Swiss Maturité and/or French Baccalauréat programmes is a strong asset.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students aged 11‑18.
• Excellent classroom management, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Resilience, adaptability, and commitment to high academic standards.
