Entertainment Host

About the role

A-ROSA is looking for an enthusiastic Entertainment Host to coordinate and deliver onboard activities on its premium river cruise vessels. You will be the face of entertainment, creating memorable experiences for guests while ensuring smooth technical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and execute all onboard entertainment programmes, including music nights, game shows, film screenings, quizzes and trivia.
• Prepare and test lounge and disco equipment, operate on‑board PA systems, mixing desks and microphones.
• Host sun‑deck games such as cornhole challenges, tournaments and trivia evenings.
• Present route highlights and provide tour‑guide information when required.
• Support guest artists, local entertainers and lecturers with technical assistance.
• Occasionally perform personal music programmes using your own tracks or accompaniment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a host, performer or animator in hospitality, cruise or resort environments.
• Fluent in German and English (minimum B2 level).
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and stress‑tolerance abilities.
• Team‑player comfortable in multicultural settings and with German‑speaking guests.
• Outgoing, friendly and guest‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Operation of PA systems.

• Handling microphones and related studio equipment.
