Executive Assistant to the International President
MSF International · Geneva
Job description
About the role
MSF International, the legal entity of Medecins Sans Frontieres, is recruiting an Executive Assistant to the International President (IP) in Geneva. This is a permanent, full-time hybrid position starting as soon as possible, with a deadline to apply of 13 November 2026. The EA acts as a strategic partner to the IP, anticipating needs, streamlining decision-making and keeping the IP's time focused on the highest-priority work. The postholder must be physically present in the Geneva office.
Key responsibilities
- Support the IP as a trusted advisor: prioritise initiatives, anticipate needs, conduct research and track key initiatives, decisions and follow-ups.
- Manage the IP's diary and travel arrangements, coordinate meetings and events, and lead or support cross-functional projects.
- Prepare speeches, briefing materials, agendas and follow-up actions, and draft, edit and proofread correspondence, presentations and reports.
- Coordinate internal communications, escalate important issues and maintain records available on short notice.
- Build relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders, handling sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
Required profile
- Extensive experience as an Executive Assistant to a Director or CEO-level person.
- Demonstrable experience managing complex, dynamic calendars with a focus on strategic time allocation.
- Excellent English; other languages such as French or Arabic are an asset.
- Experience in governance, international organisations, NGOs or complex multi-entity organisations is an added advantage.
- Comfortable coordinating cross-functional teams and liaising with external partners and senior executives.
- Experience preparing briefings, reports and presentations with high accuracy.
Required skills
- Microsoft Office 365 suite and collaboration tools (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Viva Engage).
- Strong organisation, time management and information-filtering skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, across time zones and in a hybrid setting.
