Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) Data42 (Palantir Foundry)

About the role

The Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at Data42 works as an embedded technical delivery leader, partnering with domain teams to turn high‑value problems into data and AI applications on Palantir Foundry. You will prototype, iterate and productionise solutions, bridging users, product and platform engineering to deliver measurable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Embed with domain teams to understand workflows, define success criteria and ship capabilities from prototype to production.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end solutions in Palantir Foundry, including data pipelines, ontology alignment and application workflows.
• Ingest, transform and model diverse datasets, define data quality checks and ensure trustworthiness for analytics.
• Build user‑facing applications, integrate with upstream/downstream systems and support deployment, monitoring and improvement.
• Partner with product managers, data scientists, engineers and governance teams to align scope, timelines and standards.
• Create reusable templates, components and patterns, mentor teammates and contribute to internal documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in biomedical research, bioengineering, bioinformatics or related fields.
• Hands‑on experience with Palantir Foundry, building pipelines, ontologies, applications and access controls.
• Proven ability to partner with stakeholders, deliver proof‑of‑concepts and move solutions to production.
• Strong programming skills across data and application layers with user‑centric workflow orientation.
