Freelance RJC Lead Auditor – Switzerland

About the role

We are looking for an experienced RJC Lead Auditor to conduct responsibility and compliance audits for clients in the jewellery and precious metals sector in Switzerland. The role is freelance, offering autonomy and a flexible operational base with frequent travel.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report RJC audits, verifying compliance with the RJC Code of Practices.
• Identify non‑conformities and provide strategic recommendations to improve sustainability performance.
• Manage audit documentation using audit software and ensure traceability of precious metals.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Social Sciences, Law, Human Resources, Geology or related discipline.
• RJC Lead Auditor certification (mandatory) and 5‑7 years of responsibility or sustainability audit experience.
• 3‑5 years experience as RJC Lead Auditor in the jewellery/precious metals sector.
• Fluent in Italian and/or French and/or German; English preferred.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of RJC Standards (Code of Practices).
• Understanding of conflict minerals regulations (Dodd‑Frank, EU Regulation 2017/821).
• Competence in traceability, chain of custody and ESG analysis for precious metals.
• Proficiency with audit software and document management systems.
