Lead Auditor ISCC – Freelance (Switzerland)

About the role

We are seeking an expert Lead Auditor ISCC to conduct sustainability and certification audits for clients in Switzerland. The role requires full autonomy in managing ISCC audits, multilingual communication, and deep knowledge of sustainable certification systems, supply‑chain traceability and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute ISCC audits for industrial clients, ensuring compliance with ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU criteria.
• Identify non‑conformities and provide strategic recommendations to improve sustainability performance.
• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to clients in Italian, French or German.
• Travel frequently to client sites across Switzerland and adapt to varying operational contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity throughout the audit process.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering (environmental, chemical, mechanical, civil) or a related discipline.
• Lead Auditor ISCC certification (mandatory) and preferably ISO 9001 or ISO 14001 certification.
• 3‑5 years of experience as a Lead Auditor ISCC with industrial clients, preferably in Swiss or European organisations.
• Fluent in at least one of Italian, French or German; English is a plus.
• Strong autonomy, client orientation and ability to work under flexible hours.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of ISCC PLUS and ISCC EU standards.
• Understanding of EU sustainability regulations and ESG analysis.
• Expertise in supply‑chain traceability and mass‑balance methodology.
