Lead Auditor ISO 50001 – Freelance (Switzerland)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Lead Auditor ISO 50001 to conduct energy audits for clients in Switzerland. The role operates as an independent consultant, requiring full autonomy, multilingual communication, and deep knowledge of energy management systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ISO 50001 energy audits for Swiss clients, ensuring compliance with the standard and local regulations.
• Identify non‑conformities, prepare audit reports and provide strategic recommendations to improve energy performance.
• Manage the audit process autonomously, including planning, data collection, analysis and client communication.

Required profile

• Degree in Energy, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical Engineering or related field and a valid Lead Auditor ISO 50001 certification.
• 3‑5 years of experience leading ISO 50001 audits in industrial or tertiary sectors within Europe.
• Fluent in at least one of Italian, French or German; English preferred.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of ISO 50001:2018 and Swiss energy regulations (Energy Act, Energy Ordinance).
• Familiarity with EU Energy Directives (2012/27/EU, 2023/1791) and energy‑performance KPIs.
• Proficiency with audit management software and energy measurement tools.
