Front Desk Agent – Luxury Hotel

About the role

The Front Desk Agent will be the first point of contact for guests arriving at Ultima Hotel Gstaad, a five‑star boutique retreat in the Swiss Alps. You will welcome guests, escort them to their accommodations and ensure a seamless, memorable stay throughout their visit.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival, manage check‑in and escort to suites, residences or private chalets.
• Prepare arrival documentation such as guest files and rooming lists.
• Promote and upsell hotel services, restaurants, bars, spa facilities and external experiences.
• Handle guest departures, billing and payment procedures.
• Address guest requests and complaints promptly, coordinating with relevant departments.
• Maintain and update guest profiles in the Guest History (Cardex) database.
• Conduct property tours when requested by management.
• Perform night shifts and manage internal/external telephone communications as needed.

Required profile

• Degree from a recognized hospitality school (Bachelor’s or equivalent).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within luxury hotels or high‑end hospitality.
• Fluent in French and English; German, Russian or Arabic are a plus.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to promote services through upselling.
• Impeccable grooming, professional presentation and excellent interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Cloudbeds Property Management System (PMS).
