Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build scalable, data‑driven solutions that support advanced synthesis from research through manufacturing. The position works in a regulated environment, integrating laboratory, automation, and enterprise data on Azure.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop end‑to‑end applications (frontend and backend) for digitalisation and automation use cases.
• Build APIs, services, and user interfaces that support scientific and operational workflows.
• Deliver production‑grade, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Integrate systems such as automation platforms, MES, and lab environments.
• Work with modern data technologies like Azure Data Lake and Cosmos DB.
• Deploy and manage applications and data solutions in Azure.

Required profile

• Strong experience in full‑stack development.
• Proven ability to build APIs, microservices, and modern web applications.
• Experience with Azure services and data pipelines.
• Comfortable working across disciplines (science, engineering, IT).
• Strong problem‑solving skills.
