Full-Stack Web Engineer – CERN

About the role

We are looking for a full‑stack software developer with DevOps experience to join the Web, DevOps and Authoring section of the IT‑PW group at CERN. You will help consolidate web hosting services on our PaaS platform and support the .CERN top‑level domain infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Support and integrate the handling of the .CERN top‑level domain, including certificate procurement and automation of renewal.
• Implement features for CERN web infrastructure services, such as the Web Services Portal, information retrieval, and hosting extensions for .CERN sites.

Required profile

• Experience with full‑stack software development.
• Familiarity with version control systems and CI/CD workflows.
• Knowledge of container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or OpenShift (a plus).

Required skills

• Python programming.
• JavaScript and React.
• Git and CI/CD tools.
• Linux and Bash scripting.
• Web protocols and certificate handling.
• Kubernetes/OpenShift container technology.

• 24‑month fixed‑term contract, extendable up to 36 months.
