Funded EU Delegation Traineeships in Geneva – Multiple Sections

About the role

The EU Delegation in Geneva offers funded 3‑to‑6‑month traineeships for recent graduates interested in international relations and diplomacy. Positions are available across four sections – Human Rights, Economic Affairs, Social Affairs & Labour, and Health – with a tentative start in September/October 2026.

Key responsibilities

• Support the drafting of briefing notes, statements and analytical reports for meetings and conferences.
• Assist in the preparation and logistical coordination of official visits, high‑level meetings and events.
• Conduct research on policy topics, monitor relevant UN agency activities and contribute to the analysis of EU positions.
• Participate in meetings of the Human Rights Council, ILO, WHO and other multilateral bodies, taking minutes and preparing background notes.

Required profile

• Recent graduate (Bachelor or Master) with a strong interest in international affairs, EU policy or multilateral diplomacy.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
