Fundraising Intern for Philanthropy Unit

About the role

Join the Philanthropy Unit of Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Geneva as a Fundraising Intern. You will work closely with the Communication and Fundraising department, supporting the team that raises funds from individuals, foundations, companies, and local authorities. This internship offers a hands‑on experience in a humanitarian context.

Key responsibilities

• Update donor and prospect databases with new contact information.
• Draft and process thank‑you letters for donors.
• Assist in maintaining contact portfolios for cantons, communes, companies, and foundations.
• Provide occasional support for event organization.
• Make phone calls to donors for ad‑hoc projects.
• Support general fundraising activities as needed.

Required profile

• Enthusiasm for humanitarian work and MSF’s mission.
• Strong written communication skills in English.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage data accurately.
• Willingness to learn about fundraising and donor relations.
