About the role

The Global Diagnostics Partnering Strategy & Transactions Lead drives Roche Diagnostics' external growth by sourcing, evaluating, and negotiating partnership opportunities across R&D, technology, digital, and commercial domains.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute external growth strategy, generating strategic opportunities aligned with Roche Diagnostics' objectives.
• Identify, prioritize, and assess partnership options through systematic screening, financial modeling, and feasibility analysis.
• Lead preparation, structuring, and negotiation of licensing, R&D, commercial collaboration, and M&A agreements.
• Conduct due diligence and present recommendations to senior management and governance bodies.
• Ensure smooth hand‑over of executed partnerships to internal alliance management teams.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (PhD or MBA) in science, engineering, business or related field with strong diagnostics industry knowledge.
• Experience in business development, corporate strategy, venture capital, investment banking or similar, with a track record of negotiating complex partnerships.
• Proven leadership of cross‑functional teams and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent strategic, analytical, and communication abilities.
