Job description

About the role

La Prairie is looking for a Global Store Design and Visual Merchandising Director to lead its global retail design and visual merchandising strategy. The role ensures a distinctive and consistent luxury retail experience across all physical channels, turning brand vision and commercial priorities into scalable design standards, merchandising frameworks and operational guidelines. It works closely with global and regional teams to balance creative innovation with governance, investment discipline and effective delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and protect the La Prairie retail experience: shape the global retail identity, store design and visual merchandising vision across all formats, set global design principles and brand guardrails, and ensure brand consistency with local relevance.
  • Link store design, space planning and visual merchandising to commercial results: define merchandising frameworks, planogram strategies and space allocation principles, and use performance insights to optimise retail environments.
  • Develop and maintain global design and visual merchandising standards, guidelines and implementation toolkits, and establish governance and decision-making structures.
  • Lead retail design projects across channels and markets, oversee vendors, sourcing, production and logistics, manage budgets and CAPEX investments, and control quality and risk.
  • Partner with global, regional and market stakeholders to align priorities, balance global consistency with local needs, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach and develop the global team and strengthen regional capabilities through standards, training and best-practice sharing.

Required profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a Business/Marketing-related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in architecture, industrial design and retail merchandising within a luxury brand environment, preferably in a global organisation, with the ability to create and interpret architectural drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team.
  • Strong influencing, negotiation and collaboration skills.

What we offer

  • Monthly contribution towards health insurance.
  • 25 days of annual leave plus 8.5 extra days off for HQ employees.
  • Option to work from home up to two days a week.
  • Exclusive product discounts and employee-only sales.
  • Unlimited access to the SkillCare programme and the LinkedIn Learning platform.
  • Internal and international mobility options within the Beiersdorf Group.
  • Employee referral bonuses.

Applications are submitted only through the online application tool; agency resumes are not accepted. The selection process includes interviews with HR, the hiring manager and key stakeholders, plus assessments.
