Global Supply Chain Process Architect – Planning & Regulatory Compliance

About the role

The Global Supply Chain Process Architect – Planning & Regulatory Compliance is the chief architect for end‑to‑end supply chain planning and regulatory compliance within Roche’s Global Supply Chain Solutions Design organization. The role designs future‑state planning processes while ensuring strict adherence to global healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural design, standardisation and L1‑L3 process mapping for core planning functions such as S&OP/IBP, demand, supply, inventory optimisation and order fulfilment.
• Partner with IT/BPM to translate business planning frameworks into digital systems (e.g., SAP IBP, S/4HANA, OMP) ensuring data integrity and seamless interfaces.
• Maintain and govern Supply Chain Delegation of Authority frameworks and ensure all processes comply with global regulatory standards (GDP, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, etc.).
• Drive cross‑functional alignment between R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory affairs and commercial teams to balance launch speed, regulatory validation and inventory exposure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Life Sciences or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in supply chain within pharmaceutical, diagnostics, medical device or biotech industries.
• Proven hands‑on experience designing or optimising global supply chain planning frameworks (S&OP/IBP, multi‑echelon inventory optimisation, supply/demand balancing).

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of SAP IBP and SAP S/4HANA planning solutions.
• Familiarity with OMP planning software.
• Strong understanding of Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Deep working knowledge of international healthcare supply chain regulations (GDP, GMP, ISO 13485, 21 CFR 820, China NMPA).
