Guest Services Officer

About the role

The Guest Services Officer is the front‑line ambassador who ensures every guest feels welcomed, heard and valued. You will actively listen to guest concerns, provide timely assistance, and create memorable experiences through a friendly and humorous approach.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Handle cash transactions, process payments and maintain accurate records of US currency and exchange rates.
• Operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers and copy machines.
• Communicate effectively with guests, department heads and other staff to negotiate solutions.
• Maintain a high level of hospitality standards and uphold the property’s guest‑satisfaction goals.

Required skills

• Minimum 1 year experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
• Minimum 1 year cash‑handling experience and familiarity with US currency and exchange rates.
• Proficiency in operating telephones, computers and copy machines.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian or Danish are essential.
