Head of AI & Data

About the role

Redstone Commodity Search offers 360-degree search solutions to the global commodities markets, covering trading houses, producers, majors, utilities, merchants, hedge funds, investment banks and brokerages. It is recruiting a Head of AI & Data for an international commodity trading group, primarily based in Geneva, to build and lead the group's AI, data and analytics capability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the Group's AI and data strategy around the commercial priorities of its physical commodity trading activities.
• Deliver tools that improve market analysis, pricing, demand forecasting, trade profitability and margin monitoring across trading desks.
• Strengthen the quality and availability of trading, operational and financial data by connecting internal systems with external market information and third-party platforms.
• Apply AI to commodity trading workflows, including contract review, trade documentation, reporting, logistics processes and internal knowledge management.
• Establish controls for sensitive trading data, model validation, cybersecurity and responsible AI use, while supporting adoption across international offices.

Required profile

• Degree in artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience deploying secure and scalable AI or data solutions in a commercially focused environment.
• Understanding of physical commodity flows, trading margins, market exposure and operational constraints; experience in commodities, energy, logistics, supply chains, trade finance or financial markets is strongly preferred.
• Swiss residency or existing eligibility to work in Switzerland, as the role is based in Geneva.
