Head of Finance

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing European animal health organisation, is seeking a Country Head of Finance for Switzerland. Based in Zürich, you will lead the finance function across a multi‑site clinic network and support the Country CEO in strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Lead statutory reporting, audits and local financial governance.
• Act as a trusted business partner to clinic managers and the Country CEO.
• Clarify P&L drivers, KPIs and operational insights for clinic teams.
• Support sustainable clinic performance and operational decision‑making.
• Drive financial onboarding and integration of newly acquired clinics.
• Collaborate with Group Finance to centralise accounting, controlling, systems and processes.
• Build and develop a small, effective finance team.

Required profile

• Strong background in controlling, accounting and performance management.
• Experience in multi‑site, growth or change environments.
• Exposure to M&A integration and ERP/BI tools.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic and entrepreneurial mindset.
• High EQ: sociable, influential, partnership‑driven, comfortable in clinic environments.
• Genuine passion for animal health; affinity with horses is a plus.
• Based in Zürich; fluent in English and German, French preferred.
