Head of Legal & Governance

About the role

We are seeking the first in‑house legal leader for a fast‑growing international company developing sustainable materials. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with the CEO and Board, you will shape the legal, governance and compliance foundations of the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and own the company’s legal, governance and compliance framework across multiple jurisdictions.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the CFO, CEO and Board on legal and risk matters.
• Lead corporate governance activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Support regulatory compliance and risk‑management initiatives.
• Draft, negotiate and manage commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with external counsel on transactions and strategic projects.
• Develop practical processes that enable growth while avoiding unnecessary bureaucracy.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in corporate law, governance, compliance and commercial matters.
• Background working inside a business rather than exclusively in private practice.
• Strong understanding of corporate governance and regulatory frameworks.
• Ability to balance legal rigour with commercial pragmatism.
• Proven track record of taking ownership and delivering results.
• Experience operating across international jurisdictions.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.
• Swiss Bar admission helpful but not mandatory.
