Head of Observability Security

About the role

We are seeking a Head of Observability Security to lead and grow our Observability Security (OBS) business unit. In this senior leadership position you will bridge the team leads with the Executive Board and CDO, turning strategy into execution while also contributing hands‑on to technical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the strategic direction of the OBS Security unit, managing goals, budgets and KPIs.
• Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, backlogs, sprint schedules and architecture decisions.
• Build, lead and develop cross‑functional teams in project management, development and operations, fostering a strong feedback culture.
• Oversee portfolio performance, ensure client satisfaction, and manage project delivery regarding scope, timeline, cost, quality and risk.
• Act as primary contact for client requirements, identify growth opportunities and maintain enduring customer partnerships.
• Contribute hands‑on to SIEM, Elastic Stack and infrastructure security projects as needed.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in security or observability domains.
• Strong people‑management skills with a track record of building high‑performing teams.
• Ability to translate strategic vision into concrete execution frameworks.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with executive stakeholders and clients.
• Experience managing budgets, KPIs and financial performance of a business unit.
