Head of PE and Sport

About the role

The Director of Aiglon College is seeking a Head of PE and Sport to provide strategic and operational leadership for the school's physical education and sporting programme. This senior role will shape the future direction of PE and sport in a distinctive alpine boarding environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PE curriculum, ensuring alignment with contemporary best practice and Aiglon's educational philosophy.
• Oversee the delivery of a broad sporting programme, including major team sports and alpine activities such as skiing.
• Integrate sports and exercise science into the department and review structures, systems and staffing.
• Provide clear leadership to a diverse department, fostering cohesion, purpose and a shared vision across curriculum and co‑curricular provision.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in school sport or comparable educational settings.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust across students, staff and parents.
• Experience in curriculum development and managing complex programmes in a boarding school environment.
• Understanding of IB programmes and sports science is advantageous.
