Head of Professional Services, EMEA

About the role

The Head of Professional Services, EMEA will lead the growth and delivery excellence of Benchling’s professional services team across Europe. This senior leader will ensure successful deployments, high customer satisfaction, and maximize the value clients gain from Benchling’s AI‑driven biotech platform.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery quality, timelines and performance for EMEA engagements, acting as escalation point for at‑risk projects.
• Build, grow and retain a distributed team in Zurich, London and Cambridge, setting incentive models that balance utilization and long‑term relationships.
• Manage partner and ecosystem relationships, overseeing third‑party systems integrators and deciding when to use partner capacity versus in‑house resources.
• Own statement‑of‑work scoping, staffing forecasts and financial performance, partnering with Sales on new implementations, expansions and renewals.
• Represent Professional Services in executive business reviews, building trusted relationships with technical and scientific stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years in professional services, implementation or delivery leadership within enterprise software, preferably life sciences, pharma or biotech.
• Proven ability to develop fluency with biotech R&D processes and to engage VP‑level scientific and IT leaders.
• Experience leading distributed teams across multiple European countries and managing third‑party delivery partners.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience owning SOW economics, margin and forecasting.
• Executive presence, excellent communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for AI‑enabled delivery models.
