Head Trader eFX Spot – Associate Director

About the role

As an Associate-Director in the FX & DA Trading department, you will be in charge of the eFX Spot team. Reporting directly to the Head Spot Vice-Director, you will supervise operational activities and manage people.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the eFX Spot team, fostering a positive work atmosphere and promoting collaboration.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and performance management, including setting expectations and conducting reviews.
• Own realized risk and PnL, ensuring successful and compliant operations while monitoring orders, trades, market conditions and real‑time risk.
• Fine‑tune price construction, execution and risk‑management systems, and maintain a network of hedging counterparties.
• Analyze results, identify improvements and use internal analytical tools to draw data‑driven conclusions.
• Maintain up‑to‑date operational procedures, ensure compliance and act as a reference point for Sales, IT and other internal teams.
• Contribute to product development, infrastructure improvements and monitor team capacity allocation.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in sell‑side electronic FX trading.
• Previous leadership experience is a strong advantage.
• Deep understanding of market micro‑structure and client needs across retail and institutional segments.
• Proficient in transforming large data sets into actionable insights.
• Ability to prioritize and deliver multiple tasks in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
