Head Trader eFX Spot – Associate-Director

About the role

Swissquote, Switzerland's leading digital bank, is looking for an Associate-Director in its FX & DA Trading department to lead the eFX Spot team. You report directly to the Head Spot Vice-Director and supervise operational activities and manage people in line with senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the eFX Spot team, foster a positive atmosphere, promote collaboration and resolve conflicts with senior management or the HR partner
• Support employee growth through training, mentorship, coaching and advancement, and lead hiring with the Talent Acquisition partner
• Set performance expectations, give feedback, run performance reviews and handle under-performance processes with senior management and the HR partner
• Own realized risk and P&L, monitor orders, trades, market conditions and news flow, and fine-tune price construction, execution and risk management systems
• Maintain a network of hedging counterparties and market venues, analyze results and drive improvements
• Use internal analytical tools and quantitative skills to turn data into actionable insights and reporting
• Maintain up-to-date operational procedures and ensure compliance
• Act as a reference point for Sales, software engineers and IT colleagues, and contribute to product development and infrastructure improvements

Required profile

• Experience in sell-side electronic FX trading is a must
• Previous leadership experience is a strong advantage
• Deep understanding of market (micro)structure and good knowledge of client needs and the competitive landscape
• Ability to prioritize and deliver in a deadline-driven environment, with excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
