Hotel Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Hotel Manager to lead our onboard hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across Europe’s most beautiful river destinations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support department heads to ensure smooth onboard operations.
• Oversee food & beverage orders, inventory deliveries and quality control.
• Create cruise reports, analyse guest feedback and handle complaints.
• Decide on cabin assignments and upgrades to optimise guest satisfaction.
• Manage the ship's cashbook and money transfers for financial transparency.
• Monitor revenues and costs, working to optimise onboard earnings.
• Conduct regular audits and act as the host to maintain high standards.
• Perform performance reviews and develop talent for future leadership roles.
• Collaborate with HR on staffing planning and internal documentation.
• Organise department head meetings to ensure clear communication.

Required profile

• Completed hotel sector training and a degree in business administration (hotel management school).
• At least two years of proven leadership experience in a similar role.
• Excellent German and English language skills; French is a plus.
• Experience on river or ocean‑going ships is advantageous.
• Strong leadership, teamwork, organisational and communication abilities.
• Flexibility, resilience and proactive problem‑solving in a dynamic environment.
