HR Business Partner – HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle

About the role

As an HR Business Partner focused on Operations & Employee Lifecycle, you will ensure smooth, compliant and employee‑centric HR processes across the full employee journey. Based in Lucerne, you will act as a trusted advisor to functional leaders while managing core HR activities such as administration, payroll coordination, time and absence management, and workforce reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned business units, providing guidance on policies, procedures and employment matters.
• Support workforce planning, organizational changes, internal transfers, promotions and other employee movements.
• Manage end‑to‑end employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, contract preparation, compensation changes, leave management and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee data in HRIS, prepare contracts and HR documentation, and ensure compliance with labour laws and audit requirements.
• Act as the main interface with payroll providers, preparing and validating monthly payroll inputs for new hires, terminations, salary changes and absence adjustments.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR operations and employee lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss labour legislation and internal HR policies.
• Ability to partner with managers, advise on HR matters and handle complex employee‑relations issues when needed.
• Excellent organizational skills with a focus on data accuracy and confidentiality.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR information systems (HRIS).
