People Operations Specialist EMEA

About the role

Blockstream is seeking a People Operations Specialist for the EMEA region to join its People team. Reporting to the Head of HR EMEA, this hands‑on role covers HR administration, employee experience, compliance, and business partnering across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees and managers across EMEA, handling HR questions, policies, and documentation.
• Lead onboarding, coordinate engagement initiatives, wellness activities, and internal people programs.
• Maintain accurate HRIS records, manage payroll and benefits administration, and support compliance in Swiss and broader EMEA jurisdictions.
• Handle contracts, letters, and employment documentation while ensuring operational accuracy.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation using technology and AI‑driven tools.
• Support recruiting activities, performance review cycles, goal setting, and employee development initiatives.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in People Operations or HR administration.
• Strong familiarity with HR processes, payroll, contracts, and multi‑country HR operations, especially in Switzerland and EMEA.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage both strategic and administrative tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Italian.
• Curiosity about technology, AI tools, and HR automation.
