HR Generalist

About the role

Martel GmbH, a digital innovation agency, is looking for an HR Generalist based in Dübendorf, Switzerland. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Administration, the HR Generalist supports the HR and administrative departments of Martel GmbH and its subsidiaries, partnering with managers and leaders to deliver comprehensive HR and administrative support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to performance management and offboarding
• Assist managers with employee relations, performance improvement plans and career development discussions
• Recommend, carry out and oversee employee training and development
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies, and act as a trusted advisor on HR policies and procedures
• Help develop and implement HR programs that drive engagement and retention, and support conflict resolution
• Maintain accurate employee records and provide HR data reporting and analytics
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline HR processes and oversee the time management system
• Support monthly payroll processing and work with external payroll providers to resolve issues and stay compliant with local regulations
• Handle ad-hoc HR and administrative tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Swiss HR Fachausweis (HRSE)
• At least 4-6 years of HR experience, with a focus on HR generalist/HR operations
• Strong knowledge of Swiss labor laws and regulations
• Fluent German and English, written and spoken; other languages a plus
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment, handle confidential information discreetly and work with attention to detail

Required skills

• Good IT knowledge and skills
• Plus: experience with HRIS and ERP systems such as Odoo and/or Bexio, drafting HR policies, and knowledge of Dutch labor law
