HR Specialist - Remote EU

About the role

A recruiter representing a client in the digital assets space is hiring an experienced HR Specialist to own the complete HR function of a fast-growing, internationally operating business. The role reports directly to the Group COO and covers about 45+ employees and contractors across Switzerland, the UK, Malta and Mauritius. It is fully remote within the EU, with availability to overlap with Central European time.

Key responsibilities

• Build and improve HR processes and lead the HR function with autonomy, working closely with senior leadership.
• Manage international employment, social insurance and HR policies, and coordinate remote-working arrangements and Employer of Record relationships.
• Oversee Swiss payroll, social insurance, pensions, benefits and employment compliance.
• Maintain HR governance, data protection, equity records and people reporting.
• Drive performance management, objective-setting and employee accountability.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle, from contracts and onboarding to offboarding.

Required profile

• 5+ years of HR generalist or operations experience, including 2+ years managing HR independently.
• Strong knowledge of Swiss employment law and regulations.
• Proven ability to build HR policies, processes, systems and documentation.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with payroll, social insurance, pensions and work permits.
• Managing contracts, onboarding, offboarding and employee compliance.
