International Consultant – Ecosystem Mapping for European Complementary Food Sector

About the role
International Trade Centre (ITC) is seeking an experienced consultant to map the European formulated complementary food ecosystem. The assignment will identify key private‑sector and industry actors across the value chain and produce actionable recommendations for strategic partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Develop a stakeholder interview guide with 15‑20 structured questions for at least four stakeholder groups (manufacturers, suppliers, development partners, regulatory actors).
- Create a stakeholder mapping database in Excel, profiling contacts, expertise, relevance and engagement potential.
- Conduct stakeholder consultations, synthesize findings and deliver a summary report highlighting trends, opportunities and challenges.
- Prepare a final mapping and recommendations report (10‑15 pages) covering ecosystem overview, actor analysis, opportunities, constraints and prioritized partnership actions.
Required profile
- Proven experience in stakeholder mapping, market research or ecosystem analysis, preferably in food or agribusiness sectors.
- Ability to work independently under the supervision of the GIVC Programme Officer.
- Strong analytical and report‑writing skills with attention to detail.
Required skills
- Advanced Excel for database creation and analysis.
