International Fleet Management Manager (80-100% FTE)

About the role

Streck Transport is seeking an experienced professional to lead the international fleet of approximately 70 trucks. Working closely with the LTL/FTL dispatch team, you will ensure cost‑effective operations, strong carrier partnerships, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee operational and financial performance of the subcontractor fleet, conduct KPI analysis and report to division management.
• Maximise fleet utilisation, availability, on‑time performance and service quality.
• Negotiate rates and capacity with existing and potential carriers, focusing on Eastern‑European partners.
• Analyse the carrier market, benchmark prices and services, and adjust the carrier portfolio accordingly.
• Manage carrier contracts and drive continuous improvement of fleet processes.

Required profile

• Completed commercial or business education, preferably in freight forwarding or logistics.
• Several years of experience in transport, LTL/FTL, and carrier/sub‑contractor management.
• Strong negotiation skills, especially with Eastern‑European carriers.
• Entrepreneurial mindset; self‑employment or own‑fleet management experience is a plus.
• Excellent decision‑making, assertiveness and commercial judgement.
• Very good English; additional German, French or Eastern‑European language skills are advantageous.
