IT Desktop Support Technician – 12‑month contract

About the role

We are looking for an IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site and remote technical assistance to end‑users. You will be the first point of contact for hardware, software and networking issues, ensuring a smooth and secure IT environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for technical assistance via phone, email, and on‑site visits.
• Support workstations, Office 365, Windows OS, and anti‑virus solutions.
• Manage Active Directory accounts, onboarding, off‑boarding and access rights.
• Monitor and back up critical systems, and maintain LAN and wireless connections.
• Install, configure and build new computers and peripheral devices.
• Assist with mobile device connectivity and system upgrades.
• Participate in IT projects, research new solutions, and document procedures.
• Escalate unresolved issues, track tickets to resolution, and provide timely feedback.
• Train users on basic hardware/software usage and IT security best practices.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in an IT support environment.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Office 365 portal, Azure Cloud services, networks and Citrix.
• Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or similar.
• Proficiency in English and German; French is a plus.
• Microsoft certification and ITIL knowledge are advantageous.
