IT Onsite Support Engineer – 1st/2nd Level (English & German)

About the role

D-ploy is seeking an IT Onsite Support Engineer to provide first and second‑level support to end users in Basel. The role involves handling hardware, software and network issues while communicating in both English and German.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for end‑user IT incidents, requests and questions.
• Provide meeting and conferencing support for senior management.
• Execute IMAC tasks – install, move, add, change IT equipment.
• Document all interactions in the ITSM ticketing system.
• Resolve software, hardware, device and connectivity problems, including VPN, firewalls, switches and telephony.
• Escalate issues when necessary and keep users informed of ticket progress.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar support role.
• Good understanding of IT trends, products and solutions.
• Customer‑focused with strong communication skills in German and English.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented and able to work independently or follow best‑practice guidelines.
• Willingness to declare a recent criminal‑record extract.
