IT Support Engineer

About the role

Join Akkodis in Zürich as an IT Support Engineer, providing first‑line support for over 150 colleagues and handling the full ticket lifecycle with fast SLAs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage incident and request tickets using Jira Service Management or ServiceNow, ensuring rapid resolution.
• Own the employee lifecycle: provision, image, and configure laptops, create accounts, adjust access, and conduct clean off‑boarding.
• Maintain the end‑user hardware fleet: procurement support, inventory, deployment, repairs, replacements, and retirement.
• Drive workplace IT projects: assess office requirements, scope network and infrastructure work, and perform physical installations such as cabling, network setup, AV, and workstation builds.
• Collaborate with robotics and engineering teams to align support with Linux‑heavy workflows and coordinate shared systems and security policies.

Required profile

• Solid experience in end‑user IT support within a fast‑moving environment (scale‑up or demanding support function).
• Proven Linux troubleshooting skills, comfortable diagnosing OS, application, and connectivity issues.
• Hands‑on experience with laptop provisioning, imaging, and hardware lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of identity and access management for joiner/mover/leaver tasks.
• Networking fundamentals to diagnose Wi‑Fi, switching, and connectivity issues and set up office infrastructure.
