About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Software Engineer to join a state‑backed medical technology company in Bern. You will help build and enhance mission‑critical digital health platforms that support clinicians and improve patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance Java applications using modern frameworks.
Collaborate with product, clinical, and engineering teams to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
Implement REST and GraphQL APIs and integrate with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases.
Work with cloud services (Azure, AWS) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous integration/continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

Hands‑on experience with Java (11, 17, 21) and Spring ecosystem (Boot, MVC, WebFlux, Security).
Strong analytical and communication skills, with a passion for learning.
Familiarity with Agile methodology and test‑driven development.
Previous exposure to medical or regulated environments is a plus.
