Junior HR Assistant – People Experience & Engagement

About the role

Join CERN’s Human Resources People Experience and Engagement team as a Junior HR Assistant. You will support a diverse community of students, graduates and staff, helping to shape the employee journey in a dynamic, international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide friendly, reliable administration and communication for a range of HR processes and queries.
• Inform and advise student and graduate populations on regulations, integration procedures and related topics.
• Deliver engaging presentations on HR subjects to internal and external audiences.
• Manage contractual actions swiftly for multiple employee groups.

Required profile

• Maximum two years of professional experience in HR, administration or a related field since graduation.
• National of a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• Never held a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
• Possess a general secondary education diploma; holders of Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degrees are not eligible.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Effective written and oral communication, adaptable to different audiences.
• Ability to maintain discretion, accountability and deliver high‑quality work on time.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn French.
