Junior Mechanical Engineer

About the role

ARTIDIS AG is a clinical‑stage health‑tech start‑up developing nanomechanical biomarkers for cancer diagnosis. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer you will join the hardware team to design, prototype, and validate mechanical components for our medical devices.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical drawings and 3D models using Autodesk Inventor based on engineering requirements.
• Create detailed technical plans and layouts for components and assemblies, ensuring compliance with ISO GPS standards.
• Collaborate with mechatronics and other engineering teams to integrate mechanical designs with system hardware.
• Build and test mechanical prototypes, execute design verification tests, and support design reviews.
• Document design processes, revisions, and specifications, and ensure adherence to medical device regulations.
• Assist in the transition from development to manufacturing, maintain supplier communication, and troubleshoot prototypes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of ISO GPS (Geometrical Product Specifications).
• Understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with machined parts, welded assemblies, and 3D‑printed components (plastic and metal).
• Strong attention to detail in creating technical drawings.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.
