Junior Robotics Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Junior Robotics Engineer to join our fast‑growing robotics and AI team in Lausanne. You will work hands‑on with real robots, contributing to full‑stack solutions that combine our hardware, control interfaces, and AI.

Key responsibilities

• Program robots by integrating low‑level and high‑level controllers, AI policies, and feedback control for practical tasks.
• Prototype and iterate AI‑based controllers and mechatronic components (CAD designs, PCB layouts).
• Integrate mechatronic subsystems (microcontrollers, servos, sensors, cameras) and refine them based on test results.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, adjusting priorities as needed.
• Deploy robots to customer sites when required.

Required profile

• Hands‑on experience with real robots in mechatronics, control or AI.
• Strong knowledge of your technical discipline and related tools.
• Customer‑centric mindset focused on delivering functional features.
• Proactive, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, interdisciplinary environment.

Required skills

• CAD and PCB design software with real‑world prototyping experience.
• Low‑level mechatronics integration (microcontrollers, servo motors, sensors, cameras).
• Edge computing platforms such as Raspberry Pi or NVIDIA Jetson.
• Experience with ROS2, Docker, and collaborative Git repositories.
• Track record of delivering a robot project to a deadline (e.g., competitions, hackathons).
