About the role
As a Senior Technician in Analytical Chemistry at Nestlé Research, you will develop and manage analytical methods that support food compliance, chemical contaminant risk assessment, and risk mitigation. You will collaborate closely with team members, technical services, analytical groups, business partners, quality teams, technology providers, and external suppliers to turn ideas into sustainable and innovative solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Develop analytical methods that strengthen food safety, compliance, and chemical contaminant risk assessment.
- Manage advanced laboratory equipment to deliver reliable data and high‑quality analytical results.
- Drive method validation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement in line with quality standards.
- Provide technical assistance to markets and partners with practical recommendations and robust troubleshooting.
- Contribute to scientific reports, laboratory procedures, publications, and clear communication of analytical outcomes.
- Coach apprentices and students while sharing technical knowledge across teams and working areas.
- Ensure good laboratory practices and promote a safety‑first mindset.
Required profile
- Background in analytical chemistry (CFC, HES, Bachelor’s degree or equivalent).
- Hands‑on industrial experience delivering reliable methods, results, and technical support.
- Strong expertise in liquid chromatography and gas chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry, including related instruments and software.
- Experience assessing rapid methods (e.g., lateral‑flow assays) against method requirements.
- Proactive collaboration, initiative, organization, and contribution to a positive team environment.
- Proficient communication in English and French, especially reading and writing.
- Collaborative mindset with fresh thinking, bold questions, respect, and a wellbeing‑oriented attitude.
