Key Account Manager – Public Sector (80-100%)

About the role

As a Key Account Manager for the public sector, you will join Adnovum’s Account Management team in Bern and help shape the digital future of federal, cantonal and publicly owned organisations. You will build long‑term relationships, navigate complex public tenders and drive sustainable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and expand strategic key accounts within the public sector.
• Lead the preparation and submission of WTO tenders and mini‑tenders.
• Create business opportunities, prepare offers and negotiate contracts.
• Design and execute strategic account plans.
• Build and maintain relationships with decision‑makers in federal, cantonal and public‑sector organisations.
• Manage the sales pipeline from initial contact to contract signature.
• Monitor account performance and support client projects in close collaboration with project and service management teams.

Required profile

• Higher education in business informatics, computer science, business administration, sales, marketing or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in account management, business development or sales.
• Experience with WTO tenders and public procurement processes.
• Background in IT services, software or technology consulting.
• Strong customer focus, relationship‑building and communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset.
• Fluent in German and English; French is a plus.
