Lab Operations Associate

About the role

Adaptyv is building an automated lab that connects AI agents to real‑world biology experiments. As a Lab Operations Associate you will ensure the physical lab runs smoothly so that customers receive results quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain inventory: receive, unpack, store reagents, update inventory system and flag low stock.
• Manage ordering and shipping: place orders, follow up on delays, handle inbound/outbound shipments, cold‑chain logistics and customs paperwork.
• Support scientists hands‑on: reconstitute proteins, prepare buffers, handle plates and track materials in lab software.
• Oversee instrument maintenance: coordinate servicing, calibration and repairs, keep maintenance schedules up‑to‑date.
• Ensure lab safety and organization: chemical inventory, waste disposal, safety compliance.

Required profile

• Hands‑on lab experience (degree, apprenticeship, technician role or a few years in a research/biotech lab).
• Highly organized with the ability to track many small tasks simultaneously.
• Proactive problem‑solver who fixes issues before they impact experiments.
• Comfortable working with physical materials, dry ice and freezer organization.
• Willingness to work onsite in Lausanne and relocate if needed.

Required skills

• Basic lab techniques (reconstitution, aliquoting, buffer preparation).
• Familiarity with inventory management and ordering processes.
• Ability to use lab software and follow SOPs.
