Laboratory Sample Registration Assistant (m/w/d)

About the role

ALS is looking for a laboratory sample registration assistant to join its team in Lyss, Switzerland. The role covers receiving incoming samples, registering them in the laboratory information management system and keeping the workplace organised.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, unpack and check incoming samples for completeness and correct labelling
• Register samples in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) according to the defined standards and procedures
• Create and attach labels to samples and related documents
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy during sample entry
• Contact internal departments about unclear or problematic samples
• Comply with quality and safety regulations and keep the workspace tidy

Required profile

• Training in a relevant field such as chemistry, biology or laboratory assistance, or comparable experience
• Experience handling laboratory samples and data is an advantage
• Good German, spoken and written; French and English are an advantage
• Attention to detail, responsibility, ability to prioritise, teamwork and good communication skills
• Eligibility to work in the country of application (citizen or permanent resident, or valid working visa)

Required skills

• Good knowledge of computer systems, especially LIMS or similar databases
