Laboratory Technician – Aquatic Ecotoxicology

About the role

We are looking for a Laboratory Technician specialized in aquatic ecotoxicology to conduct GLP‑compliant fish testing in our Witterswil facility. The role involves setting up, maintaining and executing static, semi‑static and flow‑through tests with various fish species according to OECD guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate and operate static, semi‑static and flow‑through test systems for fish species across all life stages.
• Draft and revise SOPs, perform equipment calibration, and maintain laboratory infrastructure.
• Select, observe and record biometrical data, collect biological samples (blood, tissues) and prepare chemical solutions for testing.
• Measure biological, physico‑chemical and physiological parameters, enter data and work with specialized software.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology or a related scientific field.
• Valid animal work certification (LTK1 or LTK2).
• At least two years of experience in a GLP‑regulated environment, preferably with fish testing and OECD protocols.
• Proficiency in English; German and French are advantageous.
