Laboratory Technician – PCB Materials

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Laboratory Technician to support the development of advanced thermoset materials for printed circuit boards and other electronics applications at our Advanced Materials Innovation Center in Basel.

Key responsibilities

• Perform lab‑scale formulation trials, including filled polymer formulations, and conduct material characterization tests.
• Plan and organise laboratory work with internal functions, document procedures, and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of equipment, manage stocks of chemicals, and handle customer sample preparation and dispatch.
• Apply a structured, data‑driven approach to generate high‑quality data while ensuring compliance with EHS, ethics, and trade regulations.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry or engineering, or a completed laboratory technician apprenticeship.
• At least three years of experience in processing or formulation of polymeric materials.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to work across multiple projects.
• Fluency in English; additional language a plus.
