About the role
This senior cybersecurity position focuses on assessing the real‑world risk of newly disclosed vulnerabilities. You will lead technical research, exploit validation, and intelligence production while mentoring a team of analysts.
Key responsibilities
- Define and enforce standards for vulnerability validation, assessment, and communication.
- Research newly disclosed vulnerabilities and verify exploitation claims in controlled environments.
- Develop, operate, and maintain honeypots and sensor systems to monitor real‑world exploitation activity.
- Create mitigation strategies beyond patching, including configuration hardening and network segmentation.
- Produce detailed intelligence reports describing exploit mechanics, threat actors, targets, and defensive recommendations.
- Automate assessment, PoC testing, triage, and intelligence workflows.
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate new vulnerability intelligence sources.
- Train and mentor junior analysts, raising technical standards across the team.
Required profile
- Expert‑level knowledge of vulnerability research and intelligence with hands‑on experience validating exploits.
- Strong programming skills in at least one language such as Python, Go, C or C++.
- Extensive experience with virtual machines, containers, and isolated lab environments.
- Deep understanding of core networking and internet protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS, authentication, authorization).
- Proven ability to design mitigations, detection methods, and actionable defensive guidance.
- Excellent technical writing for clear vulnerability intelligence reporting.
