Legal Associate – Geneva

About the role

The Legal Associate will support the Senior Legal Manager in overseeing BCI’s global legal and compliance activities. Based in Geneva, the role ensures that contracts, procurement, data protection, trademark and certification mark processes meet Swiss and international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for contract‑related queries from procurement and internal teams, providing practical guidance.
• Review supplier terms, assess contractual risks and ensure tender documentation complies with legal and operational requirements.
• Draft, review and negotiate donor, grant, procurement, supplier, programme and partnership agreements in line with BCI policies.
• Support GDPR and broader data‑protection compliance initiatives.
• Monitor Swiss, EU and international legal developments and assist in their implementation.
• Maintain and protect the organisation’s global trademark portfolio.

Required profile

• Strong working knowledge of Swiss law and related regulatory frameworks.
• Experience handling cross‑jurisdictional legal matters, especially in contracts and procurement.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with internal stakeholders across multiple functions.
• Attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
