Legal Counsel – Switzerland (Maternity Cover)

About the role

This maternity‑cover position provides comprehensive legal support for a Swiss entity, focusing on employment and commercial law. The Legal Counsel will ensure regulatory compliance, mitigate risk, and support the company’s strategic objectives until June 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Review and redline employment agreements to ensure compliance with Swiss employment law.
• Draft and review commercial and corporate agreements.
• Advise on Swiss employment matters, including termination management, social services compliance, and CB audits.
• Assist with negotiation of client and vendor contracts and support internal compliance initiatives.
• Support the implementation of a new employee onboarding process in Switzerland.

Required profile

• Law degree from an accredited institution and admission to the Swiss bar or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience, with strong exposure to Swiss employment and commercial law.
• Experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and commercial transactions.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation and analytical abilities.
• High ethical standards and sound judgment handling confidential information.
