Legal Officer (Temporary Position)

About the role

A temporary Legal Officer position in an owner-managed, young and dynamic company in Basel. The role covers contract review, legal case support, export control and compliance, and contract management, including M&A activities. It is based in the city office at Sternengasse 18.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer and supplier contracts, including key IT supplier contracts
• Support and review legal cases and conduct case-by-case assessments on possible sanctions
• Act as the interface to external lawyers in debt collection cases
• Oversee matters relating to GTCs, GTPs and the commercial register
• Handle export control and ensure compliance with applicable laws
• Define departmental guidelines and ensure compliance
• Manage contracts and participate in M&A activities

Required profile

• University degree in Law, preferably from a Swiss university
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Very good knowledge of MS Office
• Reliable, thorough, team-oriented and proactive approach
• German and/or French is an advantage
