Senior Legal Counsel – Legal Business Development & Corporate

About the role

Roche is seeking an experienced transactional attorney to join its global Legal Business Development & Corporate team. Based at the headquarters in Basel, you will support licensing, M&A, and venture investment transactions that shape the future of patient care worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, structure, and negotiate complex global licensing transactions and manage a growing portfolio of alliances.
• Act as a trusted legal advisor to business partners, assessing and managing legal risks pragmatically.
• Collaborate with legal experts across Switzerland, the USA, and China to deliver cross‑functional solutions.
• Design and deliver targeted legal training programs aligned with business strategy.

Required profile

• Qualified attorney with Swiss bar admission (or foreign equivalent) and at least 5 years post‑bar experience.
• Experience in licensing, corporate, and IP/technology law, preferably in‑house or at a specialized law firm.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to translate complex legal issues into clear advice.
• Fluent English communicator comfortable in multicultural, global teams.
